Saturday

This one was an early start, I left home with DB5 about 7am and arrived at about 10am. DB5 was fighting fit and i thought given the right draw it would do well this weekend. Sadly it didn't get the right draw, lots of time has been spent making DB5 more solid against spinners but it has very thin top armour. So getting Little Hitter wasn't the best draw. The fight was over quicker that I thought it would be, two hits is all it took. One cut the main battery cable and smashed the armour, the other dented a motor. Taking the motor out as it was locked up revealed that one of the magnets was smashed. I swapped the weapon motor for the damaged motor which took the best part of two hours. But DB5 was ready for the second show. The event was great as everyone was dressed up as were the robots, DB5 had a nice bloody effect especially for the event. After the shows, I went for a meal with the Big Nipper team and had a few drinks at the hotel.

Sunday

Got to the event very early, about 4 hours before the only show of the day. The finals show saw Little Hitter vs Little Spinner and Scorpian Evil vs Mini Might Mouse. The final was Scorpian vs Little hitter, which was very spectacular with Hitters Axe flying off and taking a lot of damage from Evil. DB5 had another fight and came out with one side hanging off, but it is fixable. Got a lot to do before Birmigham next week but shouldn't be too bad.
