RR: National Space Centre Leicester
Our second 2 day event of the year, again only Ed and DB5 attended.
Saturday
Being only about 30 mins from the event I didn't have to get up too early. Got to the centre in plenty of time and set up along with the usual suspects.
It was to be a very relaxed day with feather football, assault courses and a few fights as well as heavy demos and pay to drive. DB5 was the only robot not
to complete the assualt course as going over the ramp caused damage to the speed controller. DB5 and Push did manage to get to the final of the football once
I'd put the backup speed controllers in. But we lost as my batteries died and one of the gearboxes got locked up. In the evening we camped at a local
campsite, which was the worst site I've stayed on in this country and Ive been to a few. Anyway we had fun playing football, having a BBQ and a few beers
and we stayed up till late chatting and watching a fireworks display.
Sunday
There isn't much to say about Sunday, I couldn't repair the gearbox so DB5 sat on the bench all day. The event finished at 4pm and I was home in time to
watch the Grand Prix at 5.
