The two witches take time out from their blasted heath to put a laurel crown on the bust of Shakespeare.

The group donned their Tudor costumes and held the annual Bard's Night, on Saturday 5th May, a little late, due to a clash with Lisa's birthday celebrations. Individual members performed speeches from 'Macbeth' and 'The Merry Wives of Windsor', whilst Anne recited several sonnets and Sue Wallace gave us 'Macbeth' in a nutshell. Carol and Sandra sang an Elizabethan song and the men also serenaded the ladies with a bawdy song! As always, everybody contributed to a wonderful buffet supper and the hall was beautifully decorated, to add to the atmosphere. Many thanks to Bill and Sandra for all of your hardwork which made this evening such a success again this year.
