Robot Rumble 2004
Day 1
Getting up at 0500 was probably too early but we were supposed to be at the event for 8am.
Dave and I had trouble getting Jon out of bed, but eventually we got there at 0930. The event was
held at Debenham leisure centre near Ipswich, same location as 2 years ago. I took CBF and
Dave took Bodger, which didn't work all day. CBF went into a white board fight against, Scorpian Jnr,
Crystal Blue and Dizzy Tilly. CBF dropped a chain straight away and then lost all power after a
light hit from Scorpian's disk. The fight ended with scorpian perched on top of CBF, taking chunks
out of my armour.
After repairing the chain and making a new link (Thanks Stu) CBF went into the main competition
fight with, Alpha, G3 and Pimpanaught. Unfortunatly the same chain dropped and CBF was flipped
by G3 a few times before the fight ended. Over lunch the chain we fixed the chain and prepared for
the loosers melay. This fight was later postponed until tomorrow. While Jon and I were looking
after CBF, Dave was driving a heavy, PLF. It went in twice and in the first it was flipped over bye
Iron awe and then hit in the base plate bye the hammer which smashed the 12mm polycarb base
But it didnt go to badly considering the controls were upside down and back to front. In the
second fight Dave was forced to pull-out as the r/x on/off switch had snaped in half and couldnt
be turned on. We decided at the end of the day to crash at Jon's house in Norwich and not stay at
the event camping, but we will return tomorrow.

Day 2
Got up and returned to the event, CBF was to be in the second fight of the day with Daemon
and Cutlet. I needed to win to stay in the competition. The drive worked better, but I was flipped
a few times by Cutlet and lost drive again on the right side, and CBF was out of the competition.
At lunch Jonslaught (our antweight) fought but lost in the ant competition, also CBF had another run
out in a whiteboard with Pimpanaught and Rampage2. But yet again the right drive failed, although
it did keep running for the longest it had all weekend. In the afternoon, PLF (heavy) had a fight
but was flipped and the flipper failed and therefore couldn't selfright.
On the whole a good event, got a few things two work on with CBF to get it repaired and working
properly for the next event.
