FridayThe event started on Friday, although I wasn't going to get there for then, had some work to do before I left. I had been trying to finish Secret Weapon all week, managed to get enough done by 8pm, then it took me 3hours to get down to the my brother's house in Eastbourne where I was staying. Being a Featherweight only event only I went with DB5 and SW. I was up until 1am on saturday morning preping SW. SaturdayI used the park and ride to get to the event and arrived about 8.30am. The general idea of the weekend was to try and get as much destructive football in between the trucks and the cars, which were sharing our frequency. DB5 had a few bouts and I got a chance to test SW, without the gyro it steared to the right, but it was a successful test, also used it in the sumo competition. My excuse is that a) its not designed for such an event and b) I need some practise at driving it. Good day had a look around all the other exhibitions, which was good. Went back to my bro's in the evening and watched a couple of films, we were planning to go out but felt too tired. SundayGot to the event charged the batteries and by lunchtime had got the gyro in SW set up with a little help from Stu. Pretty much the same as Saturday, lots of football, including a match against the cars which they won but we battered them more! Thanks to the RR crew again, got home by half nine. A nice relaxed event which was fun, reminded me of the old days when we didn't have shows to do, no pressure, cool. No photos, didn't have anyone else to take them. |
